According to US Forest Products Lab:
harder than oak
22,560 psi bending strength (treated pine is 14,500)
Fire rating: NFPA UBC 1 (same as steel and concrete)
Can use ¾ if joists are on 16" centers.
Turns gray/silver with no treatment. To retain the natural color,
use either Cabot's Australian Timber Oil or Messmer's UV Plus for Hardwood
Decks.
Used on the Atlantic City Boardwalk and Coney Island Boardwalk.
